In certain cases, it may be difficult to figure out what media formats are supported by a certain device. If you want to avoid unpleasant surprises when playing a video file for the first time on your mobile phone, you should look for a specialized conversion utility. ACDSee Video Converter provides full support for all popular video formats and it is capable of converting your files quite fast. You can also use this software to clip your videos, upload them on YouTube and more.

ACDSee Video Converter is free to use for a limited number of times, after which you must purchase a license, if you wish to keep the software. You can download its setup file and install its components on your computer in no time, but you have to create an online account and register the software, when you launch it for the first time. Moreover, the software works on all modern Windows platforms and it does not ask for powerful hardware, so you will not experience any compatibility or performance issues.

The modern user interface presents strictly what you need to convert and share your videos. Additionally, the interface's layout is very comfortable. Imported videos are listed on the left side of the window and you can preview them with the software's embedded player, on the right side, where you can also change the volume of your videos and trim them. ACDSee Video Converter allows you to select output formats for individual videos and start converting them individually. Alternatively, you can hit the master Convert option, located in the lower region of the interface, to convert all videos in a single run.

A video's output settings can be made on a separate window. The available formats are neatly organized by devices and manufacturers, which can be selected in different drop menus. You can choose from numerous manufacturers, like Apple, Samsung, Nokia, Sony and others and all sorts of smartphones, tablets, gaming consoles and so on. Each device represents a specific conversion profile, with a certain format, resolution and quality, which can be modified.

You can import almost any kind of video, but you can also rip them from DVDs. Additionally, the software allows you to burn your videos on a DVD or store them as an ISO image. Videos can be uploaded to YouTube as well. All you have to do is type in your login credentials, select a video and click a button, on a small window. Before you start uploading, you may also tick a few options if you wish to make your video private or share it on Facebook or Twitter.

Pros

The program allows you to convert videos to and from a wide range of formats. The available output profiles are represented by devices on which you can play your videos. Besides converting videos, it is also possible to burn them on a disk, upload them to YouTube and share them on Facebook and Twitter.

Cons

You can perform a maximum of 10 conversions while using the trial version. Videos can be made compatible with any device and shared on the Internet immediately, thanks to ACDSee Video Converter's advanced functionality.
